The 5 must-see looks from the Burberry Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 show

With its Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 collection, Burberry marks a much-anticipated return to urban aesthetics, under the direction of Daniel Lee. Reimagined trench coats, evening tailoring and luxurious fabrics define the 5 looks that caught the editorial team’s eye. Focus.

On the wet cobblestones of London, the night becomes a stylistic playground where tailoring blends with streetwear and the house’s classics are elegantly reimagined. During London Fashion Week, which took place from 19 to 23 March, Burberry brought the season to a close before passing the baton to Milan with its Autumn/Winter 2026 collection.

With sharp silhouettes, trench coats worn as accessories and leather gleaming under the streetlights, Daniel Lee offers an ultra-contemporary vision of the evening wardrobe, accompanied by a soundtrack by FKA Twings. Following the show, OniriQ has selected 5 looks in particular, which encapsulate the very essence of this new vision of London nightlife, and here they are.

Before getting to the heart of the matter, a contrast is worth noting. Whereas Burberry’s Winter 2025 collection presented an escape from the city, fuelled by the imagination of the countryside and the outdoors, the Winter 2026 collection refocuses the narrative on a much more immediate, luxurious and sophisticated wardrobe.

Under the direction of Daniel Lee, the pieces gain in precision, the silhouettes become more fitted and the fabrics more expressive, as if to accompany a lifestyle on the move, rooted in the urban reality of London (and its endless nights) rather than the notion of escape.

Look No. 54

For this first look, we fell for look No. 54, which immediately imposes a radical nocturnal allure: a long trench coat in ultra-glossy leather, belted at the waist, structured at the shoulders and featuring wide, graphic lapels.

Worn over a dark, tuxedo-style shirt, the coat catches the light here like a wet pavement, a direct echo of the creative director’s urban vision for the end of the year. A resolutely sharp, almost cinematic line, which single-handedly sums up Lee’s new half-street, half-chic direction for Burberry.

Look No. 30

Earlier in the collection, a centrepiece stands out in silhouette No. 30. On the catwalk, the model appears clad in a long ivory coat, double-breasted with a high, enveloping collar, giving the impression of a protective garment, designed to face the night and the capital’s chill.

Much more than just an overcoat, the model below exudes a typically British restraint and a reassuring quality. For accessories, the designer opts for a wide, dark fringed scarf and black gloves. Furthermore, this look plays on a simple yet perfectly balanced contrast between visual softness and the rigour of the cut.

Look No. 16

It was impossible to take your eyes off the 16th look as it made its appearance. With this exceptional new coat, the label injects a dose of pure magnetism into its winter wardrobe. The long brown fur coat, worn open over a crisp black suit, makes an immediate impact: warm and powerful.

The fabric catches the light, the cut elongates the silhouette. Meanwhile, the colour of the fur contrasts with the understated black of the rest of the outfit, making the ensemble incredibly desirable. Under the guidance of Daniel Lee, women no longer seek to blend into the background. Quite the opposite: at night, they stride through the streets of London with confidence.

Look No. 36

Another element we adore, and which stands out, is the movement of Look No. 36. This look takes the form of a black dress with a plunging neckline, tied around the neck like a scarf and enlivened by a play of fringes and asymmetrical volumes. Without a doubt, the house has created one of the most captivating moments of the show.

The silhouette moves as if carried by the fabric, light yet full of attitude, striking a balance between raw sensuality and an almost nonchalant sophistication. It is precisely this approach to making evening wear casual, never stiff, never overly dressed up, that Daniel Lee champions for the evenings of winter 2026: a dress made for living the night, for walking and dancing.

Look No. 3

A new take on the trench coat… This is what Daniel Lee promises us right from the start of his show. Look No. 3 rounds off our selection of standout looks thanks to the spectacular midnight blue cropped coat, sculpted with wide ruffles around the bust and collar.

We find Burberry’s beloved classic in a highly innovative, almost nocturnal version. Belted at the waist, the silhouette asserts a stronger presence than usual, almost theatrical. It is immediately balanced by the black leather trousers, which bring the look back to the street, to reality. An iconic expression of the creative director’s vision, where everyday wear is infused with a spectacular flair.

Through these five silhouettes, Burberry sets out a clear vision for Autumn/Winter 2026–2027: that of a women’s wardrobe designed for the real rhythm of the night, its comings and goings, its unexpected twists and its bursts of energy. Daniel Lee revisits the house’s icons, subtly subverting them, imbuing them with greater sensuality, freedom and visual impact. A collection that captivates less through its decorative effect than through the accuracy of its attitudes and its ability to transform every look into a moment of life.
