MYKITA x OAMC: a functional, technical and elegant eyewear collaboration

When two design visions come together, the result often goes beyond a simple collaboration... With the MYKITA x OAMC collaboration, eyewear becomes a canvas for expression where function, material and aesthetics engage in a natural dialogue. Focus.

Born of a shared commitment to innovation, craftsmanship and a resolutely functional approach to design, MYKITA and OAMC have created a capsule eyewear collection that is both rigorous and contemporary. A natural meeting of German technical expertise and Italian stylistic language, conceived as an extension of their respective worlds.

MYKITA x OAMC: A functional aesthetic, reinterpreted

On one side is MYKITA: a Berlin-based high-end eyewear brand founded by Moritz Krueger (also creative director) in 2003. On the other, OAMC: a premium men’s ready-to-wear brand, created in 2013 by Luke Meier (with Arnaud Faeh), which stands out for its functional DNA, workwear style and architectural lines.

Two design visions, not so far apart, come together this season through a collaboration. Inspired by the pragmatic eyewear of the mid-20th century, the MYKITA x OAMC collection reinterprets the codes of functionalism with a resolutely contemporary perspective. The hybrid frames combine stainless steel with MYLON®, MYKITA’s patented material, renowned for its lightness, durability and freedom of form.

Their matt, almost industrial finish evokes the world of technical tools (a clear nod to Luke Meier’s style), whilst the interplay of contrasts between the flat lenses and the MYLON® circles creates a graphic, controlled silhouette (here, more characteristic of Moritz Krueger). Discreetly integrated side shields enhance lateral protection without compromising the purity of the lines.

Two models, two interpretations of functionalism

The capsule collection features two models with complementary personalities: first, RAT, with its square, assertive navigator shape, which makes a strong statement. Then there is GRUNT, a more subtle design, which adopts a retro panto look highlighted by a distinctive double bridge and an olive green tint.

Two interpretations of the same principle: one direct and unapologetic, the other bolder and more contemporary. Both embody OAMC’s uncompromising visual language, made possible by the exclusive materials and technologies developed by MYKITA.

Technology at the service of the experience

Behind the clean lines lies an extreme focus on comfort and performance. Zeiss sunglasses lenses ensure clear, relaxed vision, with total UV protection and state-of-the-art anti-reflective coatings. Each pair is handcrafted at the MYKITA HAUS in Berlin, following a precise and controlled production process.

Sharing the same sensibility when it comes to design and a common love for beauty makes our work a real pleasure,” says Luke Meier. A sentiment shared by Moritz Krueger: “From the moment we met, we realised we were speaking the same language. This collaboration has allowed us to translate historical functional references into a resolutely modern product.

Available in selected boutiques worldwide from 29 January 2026 and on their websites, the Mykita x OAMC collection is aimed at those who seek much more than an accessory in their glasses: a precise and confident vision of design.
