Wilo, the new must-have accessory
The Neuf Mini - Wilo edition, unveiled recently, is part of the Polène Plèi collection, leaving a unique playground for the creativity of the young French house. This line, launched in 2024, already includes “small leather goods” accessories, including charms, leather flowers and a first bag called Solé, a reinterpretation of the net bag.
For his second model, Polène transforms the Numéro Neuf Mini into an upcycled version. Indeed, the leather offcuts allow for responsible but also playful production with this pretty coat of fringed buckles that is both bold and cozy. Wilo is extravagant through its trompe-l'oeil, a theme dear to Polène, which requires ten hours of work divided into several stages.

At the leather goods workshop in Ubrique, Spain, the offcuts of leather are first cut into strips before being cut into fringes with a punch. Folded back on themselves, these fringed curls of three different lengths create an ultra-stylish gradient effect.
The Wilo edition features 176 strands of thread sewn by hand onto the body of the bag. What's more, the body of the bag is made from certified full-grain Italian grained calf leather. Its shape and name are derived from the word “willow”, designating a willow tree. Worn on the shoulder with its shoulder strap, in the crook of the arm or by hand, the Numéro Neuf Mini Wilo resembles the magnificent branches of this melancholic and romantic tree.
The Numéro Neuf Mini – Wilo edition is available in black, chalk and taupe at a price of 620 euros.
