How about celebrating Thanksgiving in Paris? Chef Eric Frechon gives Le Drugstore an American makeover

The most beautiful avenue in the world will be celebrating Thanksgiving on November 27. For one evening, Le Drugstore will swap its Parisian elegance for the warm spirit of an American dinner. Under the direction of three-star chef Eric Frechon, the legendary restaurant will be revisiting the celebration of gratitude with a touch of French chic.

Thanksgiving is one of those rituals from across the Atlantic that Paris loves to adopt. Far from the umpteenth Christmas movie or clichéd images of Central Park, the capital takes advantage of this event to turn it into a way of life based on sharing and generosity. Once again this year, Le Drugstore is rolling out the red carpet for this American tradition on Thursday, November 27, with a menu as refined as it is comforting, created by Eric Frechon. On the menu: free-range turkey, silky butternut squash, and banana cream pie. An invitation to slow down, raise a glass, and savor autumn in a different way.

Le Drugstore: when the Champs-Élysées takes on a New York accent

Every fall, Le Drugstore becomes the setting for an American interlude. Behind its large bay windows, the lights of the avenue mingle with the sparkle of the set tables. An elegant, cozy, slightly golden atmosphere with an emphasis on American-style conviviality.

The Elixir d'Agrumes cocktail kicks off the festivities with its subtle balance of gin, yuzu, and grapefruit, creating an aromatic signature between two continents. Next comes a butternut royale topped with parmesan foam and roasted chestnuts, a gentle starter full of texture that sets the tone for a generous and precise meal.

For the main course, roast farm-raised turkey is served as a duo with its delicately browned breast, accompanied by a Brussels sprout salad, pan-fried apples, and cranberry sauce topped with corn foam in the spirit of a modern Parmentier. American sharing revisited by a French chef. And because no Thanksgiving would be complete without a sweet touch, the Banana Cream Pie closes the dinner with panache, crispy, creamy, and just the right amount of nostalgia to end a good dinner.
