On February 28, 2024, OniriQ magazine organized the first ever OniriQ Fashion Show alongside Fashion Week. Aimed at serving as a platform for unknown talent, the formula quickly won people over, revealing designers such as Glamoda Style, Jemma Russo, and Maison Laurette. Less than five months later, the media outlet, launched by Dominique Busso in 2022, was proud to announce its third edition. And not just any edition.
Under sunny skies and summer temperatures, the growing concept took on a whole new form. After conquering the capital and the Villa Forbes during the Cannes Film Festival, the magazine organized cruise fashion shows. One, aboard the Alulim yacht in the waters of Saint-Tropez, celebrated the eco-responsible luxury leather goods brand Thalie Paris. The other, in Ibiza, presented eyewear designer Céline Roland and her selection of trendy sunglasses
Thalie Paris, recycling as an art
Second appearance for Thalie Paris! At the first edition of the OniriQ Fashion Show, she closed the event with her collection of eco-friendly bags. Founded in 2020 by Nathalie Dionne, the brand has set itself the goal of exploring low-carbon materials of the future for high-end leather goods, notably with its “Sushi” collection made from salmon skin. At the Summer Cruise organized by OniriQ, she presented her new designs and celebrated her iconic pieces in a heavenly setting: the Alulim yacht.
2 QUESTIONS FOR... Nathalie Dionne
Tom Kuntz: During this fashion show under the auspices of OniriQ, why was it important to showcase the brand's new designs in this setting?
Nathalie Dionne: Our first experience with OniriQ was much more than just a fashion show, it was a meeting of values. Their commitment to more responsible fashion echoes the very essence of Thalie. Renewing this collaboration was a way of affirming our commitment and showing the evolution of our brand to an audience that, like us, believes in a more responsible future. It's also a way of showing that you can combine aesthetics and ethics without compromise.
Tom Kuntz: As your influence in the leather goods industry grows, what should we wish for Thalie in the future?
N.D.: For the future, we want to continue to innovate, surprise, expand our community, and create pieces that tell a story, that of a more conscious luxury. Above all, I hope that we will inspire others to believe that another model is possible.
On the catwalk, model Garance Authie wore one of Thalie Paris' iconic pieces: the Cleo Top Handle bag. It combines a signature patchwork of recycled salmon leather with another upcycled leather from Nona Source's (LVMH) dormant stock, demonstrating the incredible craftsmanship of the French leather goods brand.
Céline Roland, the art of the gaze
Boldness, passion, and unwavering ambition... Without a doubt, Céline Roland is the epitome of an inspiring female success story. At the age of 35, the entrepreneur and eye stylist can boast ten years of experience in the world of optics, a website offering and selling countless brands, two boutiques, and an address book filled with celebrities she has worked with. For the OniriQ Fashion Show Summer Cruise, she unveiled her selection of flagship eyewear in Ibiza. For each model, she carefully determined which shape, color, and materials would best complement their face and outfit. It's a mission she continues to fulfill through her work and, soon, through her own brand.
2 QUESTIONS FOR... Céline Roland
Tom Kuntz: How did you feel during your very first fashion show with OniriQ, presenting your selection of eyewear in such a beautiful location?
Céline Roland: It was an enriching experience where I was able to show my passion and my art by combining eyewear and fashion. At the OniriQ fashion show in Ibiza, I played a role that suited me perfectly: choosing eyewear to dress the models' eyes, highlighting each feature of their faces and accentuating their outfits at the same time. Everything was meticulously planned, from the brand I wanted to showcase to the color of the model that would complement or contrast with the silhouette.
Tom Kuntz: Can you explain, for example, how you came to choose this particular model for this outfit?
C.R.: For this look, I selected glasses from the Ophy x Céline Roland collection for their bold shape and khaki acetate frame with gradient lenses in the same shade. I chose this frame because it brings both structure and modernity. The angular shape contrasts beautifully with the soft features of the model's oval face, creating a perfect visual balance while asserting a resolutely contemporary style. The combination with her khaki ensemble, consisting of shorts and a sleeveless vest, was no accident. The glasses and outfit blend harmoniously in a monochrome palette, while allowing the frame to remain one of the key pieces of the outfit.
To complement Jessilann Studio's creation, Céline Roland chose her collaborative model OPHY x Céline Roland. Embodying a spirit of innovation and creativity, this pair of sunglasses reflects a modern aesthetic that adapts to any occasion.
